The Purpose and Scope
1. Purpose and Scope This policy sets out expectations for the professional and appropriate use of social media and messaging platforms by Old Town Chiropractic Clinic chiropractors and staff. The policy ensures compliance with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) Code, particularly: - Principal B: Act with honesty and integrity and maintain the highest standards of professional and personal conduct. - Standards B3, B4, and B5: Relating to advertising, boundaries, and use of technology. This policy applies to: - All social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok). - Messaging services (e.g., WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, SMS). - Professional forums, blogs, and websites. - Both personal and professional accounts where there is, or may be perceived to be, an association with chiropractic practice.
